The Betrothal Feast

Nikiya is handed the basket of flowers concealing the snake, is bitten, refuses the Rajah's antidote and dies. Not a separately numbered dance in Petipa's 1877 structure — it is the dramatic close of the betrothal scene — but catalogued here because it is filmed and named consistently in its own right. Recordings run roughly 6-8 minutes and generally take in the veena dance and the basket dance as well.
